BBC’s technology series Tech Now is taking viewers inside the world of WWE to explore the technology that powers the sports entertainment spectacle. The episode, titled WWE: The Tech Behind the Show, is the latest in the program’s lineup, which regularly examines how innovation is reshaping industries from healthcare to entertainment.

Recent episodes have covered a wide range of topics. One segment looked at new technologies for measuring rainforests and protecting trees, including exclusive access to a hacker rehabilitation program. Another highlighted highlights from the Esports World Cup in Paris, along with advice on building a gaming PC. The show has also offered rare behind-the-scenes access to Microsoft’s Quantum Lab in Denmark and met the team using technology to preserve a historic warship in Sweden.

Medical technology has been a recurring theme. One edition explored how new 3D imaging is supporting heart surgery, while another followed trials of tech designed to detect “hidden” pancreatic cancer cases. The program has also examined technology used at the FIFA World Cup, the future of prosthetics, and tools that help people stay underwater for longer.

Artificial intelligence is another frequent focus. Segments have investigated how AI is being used to solve an art history mystery, an AI startup working to fix inconsistent clothing sizes in fashion, and scientists attempting to create “living computers” using brain cells. Other episodes have unpacked the science of cloud seeding, explored the rise of smart tech at IFA Berlin, and looked at how technology is aiding earlier detection and prevention of wildfires.

Tech Now also reports from major industry events, including CES and MWC Barcelona, and has featured stories on robot-led space exploration, icebreaker technology for the Arctic, electric tourism in Norway’s fjords, and the restoration of Blenheim Palace. With episodes spanning environmental tech, health innovation, and entertainment, the series continues to offer a global perspective on how technology is transforming everyday life.
